Quick summary: Allied uses only the minimum to make the site work. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party marketing trackers. That's why you don't see an invasive cookie banner.
1. Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
alliedLocale | Remember preferred language (es/en) | Essential | 1 year |
localStorage (key alliedLocale) | Same purpose, fallback if cookies blocked | Essential | Until cleared |
localStorage (wizard state) | Preserve progress in long forms across step navigation | Essential | Until submit/clear |
| Service Worker cache (PWA) | Offline operation + asset preload | Essential | Up to 7 days per page, 365 days per image |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Anti-spam on forms (does not track across sites) | Security | Session |
2. What we DO NOT use
- Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, Amplitude
- Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, TikTok Pixel, Twitter Pixel
- Hotjar, FullStory, Clarity (session replay)
- Third-party retargeting / advertising cookies
- Fingerprinting or cross-site tracking
3. Why no invasive cookie banner
GDPR (EU), CCPA (CA) and PR Act 40-2024 require informed consent for third-party cookies for tracking/marketing. Since we use none, we only inform you about essential cookies (technically exempt from express consent under all regulations).
4. How to manage/delete cookies
You can delete Allied cookies from your browser settings (Chrome → Settings → Privacy → Cookies). Deleting essential cookies will make the language selector forget your preference, but the site still works fully.
5. Future changes
If we adopt privacy-friendly analytics in the future (e.g. Plausible, Fathom — no cookies), we'll update this policy and, if required, show a consent banner. Today it's not necessary.
